Permanency of Giclee Prints and Other Reproductions
http://www.spenceguerin.com/prntrepr.html#printinks
Excellent information about original prints and reproductions by the artist Spence Guerin. He explains the types of orignal prints that artists make. He explains the limitations of reproductions. Artists use permanent materials to make original prints. The inks used in reproductions are not permanent. Lightfast pigments are used by artists. Inks used in reproductions will fade and are not considered to be permanent or lightfast.
